A second refit was conducted April and May 2022.

The main focus was new equipment hull maintenance, deck maintenance rope replacement and some technical repairs.

Conducting most of the work by my own I'll be able to share this knowledge and required planning with you. I’m also happy to assist with a checklist of preparations that have to be made before your ship goes dry for maintenance.

A mirror finish after some polish work

Juliet´s teak deck was overdue some repair work. It was decided to redo all the chaulking.

Removal of old material is done with multi tool´s sharp knifes and scrapers.

All the seems are sanded to ensure all old material has been removed.

The best tool in the world is not a guarantee to be the best tool for a job. The Festool sanding machine is way more powerful, however the bosch is more precise specially when working with smaller teak wood planks. For large flat areas the Big machine was an advantage to have, however on smaller decks  a less powerful machine has my preference

Time to vacuum the deck and apply Primer.  Make sure you only prime  the area that you will caulk within 24 hours.

Teakdecking systems caulking is used in combination with an applicator.

all the additional caulking is removed by using a grid 40 paper. One final grid 80 sanding is done to ensure a smooth deck.

90 % done.

The sail drive receives a special coat of paint. this should keep the propeller clear for at least 2 years.

All lines are replaced by 10 mm Dyneema, what a difference both visual and in performance!

Testing and adjusting the new setup to ensure all work corectly.

Thank you bye bye :)

One line that should never fail. when it does in bad weather conditions it means trouble.

New lines installed
